Season ‘Zero’, the Original Star Blazers/Yamato Anime
– Episode Zero: The Argo: Sailor of the Stars

For those not familiar with the Star Blazers/Space Cruiser Yamato anime, we present this documentary. It focuses on the Star Blazers series, and the Yamato movies “New Voyage”, “Be Forever”, and “Final Yamato” only available in North America on subtitled DVD.
The documentary is performed by the cast of the “Sea of Stars” audio drama, and features audio cuts from the first two seasons of the English TV series. This is a great way to re-familiarize yourself with the back story.

“On the darkest day in Human history, the Comet Empire returned…”
Beginning scant days after the Japanese film “Final Yamato“, Sea of Stars: Invasion tells the story of Earth’s second invasion by the Comet Empire.
It’s a blend of original characters, and familiar faces from the animated series… as well as their voices. The special features Amy Howard Wilson returning to the character of Nova Forester Wildstar.
Season One, “A Voyage of the Space Cruiser Argo”
The Earth fought off the first Comet Empire invasion in 2202, but ten years later the Empire returned and this time, our world fell before their might.
After five years of brutal oppression, our planet is a dried, dead husk. Our Imperial masters have decided that before they can move on, the earth must be destroyed and has sent a massive fleet to sterilize the planet’s surface.
Our only hope lay with a small band of resistance fighters and their secret weapon, the resurrected Space Cruiser Argo, a mighty battleship that defeated the Empire’s initial invasion fifteen years ago. But can her ragtag, inexperienced crew cope with not just the battles ahead, but their own inner turmoils?

After the conquest of Earth, a new threat rises. A heroic band of freedom fighters must find some way to combat the end of Humanity.
Our only hope may lay with an old hero of the Earth Defense Force, and the secret that has lain hidden for fifteen years.
Episode Two: Argo Lifts Off Into A New Dawn

With less than six months until the Scourge Fleet arrives to exterminate humanity, the new Star Force hurry to rebuild their vessel and blast off.
An untested crew, in an ancient battleship will once more carry all the hopes of Earth into an uncertain future.
Episode Three: Prisms of View

The Star Force’s new fighter pilots are viewed with distrust and scorn.
But old wounds run deep on both sides. What seems so certain to one, can be very different to another.
Can the crew stand together in the coming days?
Episode Four: Ambush at Jupiter!

The yawning divisions within the crew have begun to slowly heal. The old pain lingers, but at least the tension has begun to ease.
The Argo cautiously approaches the Jupiter asteroid belt, where the Earth Defense Fleet died fighting the Empire- taking the gas giant with it.
But the Scourge Fleet is not the only enemy, Colonel Nasca of the Comet Empire lays a trap for the Star Force!
Episode Five: The Calm Before the Storm

In the aftermath of Nasca’s attack, the Star Force struggle to repair the Argo before the Scourge Fleet arrives.
Mei Gideon lay unconscious in sickbay, after barely surviving the ambush. The crew holds it’s breath, waiting for the second shoe to drop. Meanwhile, Michael Vega learns part of the truth about Captain Wildstar’s past.
Episode Six: Firestorm

The Scourge Fleet has arrived, and the Argo must face it… alone.
The Star Force has faced long odds before, but this looks to be their final gamble.
Will the sun rise for Humanity once more? Or is this the end of our story?

Episode Seven: The New Menace

After the battle, The Star Force repair their ship and lick their wounds alongside mercenary pirate ships and vessels flying the flag of Desslok of Gallman .
We are no longer alone in the fight against the Comet Empire. But Desslok brings with him grave news of a threat that prompts the Argo to a new course of action.
Episode Eight: In Pursuit of Hope

A prophecy held by our enemies as heresy drives Wildstar to order the Argo off on a desperate bid for answers.
The Comet Emperor himself is coming to obliterate our world utterly, but when the Argo finds an impossible world, the crew is tested in ways they’d never dreamed.
Episode Nine: Threads of the Past

New Telezart is a world that shouldn’t exist. A lush, green paradise that offers the Star Force a much needed rest.
Spirits from the next world bring messages of hope to the crew of the Argo, and possibly a solution to the desperate fate awaiting Earth.

Episode Eleven: Always Darkest…

The Argo launches an desperate raid on an Imperial armory. Victory means we have a chance, just a chance, to survive what’s coming. Defeat is not an option.
Meanwhile, Emperor Jahmorta and his fleet of comet fortresses begin their final assault on Earth.
Episode Twelve: …Before The Dawn

The final battle.
The Star Force launch a desperate gamble to reach the Emperor and end the war before it ends not only the Earth, but possibly all life in two galaxies.

Episode Three: Ambush! The Pioneer’s Plea

After a rocky start, the Argo has begun it’s diplomatic mission to Galmania.
But all is not well. Friction rises between the diplomats and Captain Venture. Then a mechanical malfunction imperils the mission, just as a new enemy attacks.
It’s baptism by fire for the new Star Force.
Episode Four: The Gathering Storm

The Argo prepares for the final jump to Galmania.
But the scars of the battle were left in more than just the ship, and the damage to the crew will be more difficult to repair.
